Pieris are also known as Lily-of-the Valley shrub and Andromeda. The flowers are one of the first to open in the spring, welcoming it with clusters of small bell-shaped flowers in shades of white or pink. They are usually two-toned but give a uniform color to the already green leaves of the shrub.

Pieris leaves are evergreen, staying on the plant all winter, and have a shiny green appearance. They set a grand stage for the flowering clusters in the spring. Once the flower show is finished, the new growth of leaves takes center stage. The new growth is a shade of red, sometimes firey in appearance. As late summer turns to fall, next year's buds start to grow. They give the shrub another round of decoration heading into the winter season.

Quantities of these Pieris are very limited.
