2020 Opening Day
The date for our 2020 Spring Opening Day has been set for Saturday, April 25th. The gates, er, front yard will open at 9:00 and we will sell until 5:00. This does not take into account rain since we sell whether it’s raining or not.
We will have many of our usual varieties of shrubs and perennials available. All we have to do is convince them to wake up by then. Sometimes they are like stubborn teenagers, they just refuse to wake up and get going.
And just in case you were wondering, most of our plants are still ONLY $5.98 each! You will also find some at a little higher price because they are a bit bigger. Some are extra special so they are at a higher price. Don’t worry, they are still a fantastic buy!
We have now uncovered all our plants in the nursery from their protective white plastic. They have been covered up for 4 months. That is one-third of the year. That’s kinda depressing when you think about it too long.
There are several perennials and some shrubs that should make their debut that day. Quantities may be limited, so get here early for the best selection. Sometimes people like something so much that they gotta have a bunch of them.
I hope to have some fruit trees here as well. It all depends on how well we can get around in the next couple of weeks. I plan on picking them up, but those plans may change.
Where is it?
Where are we located? Glad you asked. The nursery is located right smack dab in downtown Cranesville, PA. Don’t worry, we’re not that big of a town. We have a blinker light at the main intersection. If you need exact directions, either ask Google to find us or plug 10393 Crane St, Cranesville, PA into your GPS thingymajig.
We’re only about 20 miles west of Erie, tucked down in the southwest corner of Erie County. The Crawford County line is only a few miles south and Meadville is another 20 some miles farther. The Ohio line is about 10 miles or so to the west.
If you come in on the interstates, we are just 5 miles south of I90 at Exit 9 and 10 miles west of I79 at Exit 166. Just a short and pleasant drive to save a bundle of green, buying some more greens for your yard.
Save the Date
Saturday, April 25th from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm will be the first day for the 2020 Spring Season. Get here early for the best selection. When things are gone, they’re gone.
Parking is very limited around here, so please be courteous to your fellow gardeners. We will try to accommodate as many as we can.
